My Mother gave me my name Anne "spelled with an 'E'' so it looked finished" LOL.A name carried by several generations of women on both sides......At least two of which, did not like it! My family always used a nickname unrelated to it......and as I was growing up I never really thought it suited me.... but adaptable as I am it was the name I was known by until 6 years ago when I attended my 1st DanceCamp.....
Here is the story of how I recieved my name Jae.....
I joined a huge communal camp circle as a 'newbie'' (40 people in all!)....One lady in our circle could never remember my name......calling me instead Sue?!....This lasted 14 days on the 13th day a group of us were laughing and chatting over this and that several of the group had taken Sue too...Emily-Sue, Larch-Sue etc.....To ease her discomfort.
When the laughing had settled down....a good friend Kate said that actually ,neither Anne nor 'Sue' suited my Energy.......
So after several hours of musings...and much hilarity.....you would not believe how many other names REALLY don't suit me......
I was presented with the name'Jay'
I loved the sound of it!!!
Coincidently I had seen my first English 'jaybird'' at camp...most synchronistic .....as the American Mountain BlueJay had been my constant companion camping as a child in the rockies.....it all seemed to flow and the next morning I was greeted by "Goodmorning Jay" from across the field....
Having heard this name better than I ever did Anne...I decided to wear my new name for one year and if I still felt comfortable after that time, I would take it in ceremony at the following Camp.
And here we are...I chose the spelling of Jae, as numerologically it carried the same 7 vibration as my given name.....
My Mother, from the moment I told her always remembered this new name that arrived so synchronistically...many others have struggled...but with time this has changed.....
I have learned a great deal with this journey.....
Not least I LOve Synchronicity......Flow.....Source....I LOve how my mind expands as others tell me of their experience too....
I LOVE the sound of this name...how open and uplifting it sounds!
I also love and treasure deeply my Mothers embracing of me as I told her the story...her ability to 'see' me in my uniqueness and meet me in the moment....
As a mother I know the space of choosing the name of your child...it is a huge life changing experience...
My Mother gifted me with her unconditional Love and through her grace, the ability to change her choice.....
So I am Jae " with an 'E' so it looks finished"....LOL.
What a great Q! Thanks for the space to share my story......
Love n Light
Jae
